Ready set roll!

So it finally clicked to Micah that since he could now roll over both ways (though he had only previously rolled over from back to belly once) that he could use that to roll all over. He went from the rocking chair on one side of my bedroom to the dresser on the other side. Unfortunately my super awesome camera was in the other room so I didn't get a video of the rolly polly-ness today but I will - soon - I promise.

While I didn't get a video of him rolling - I did capture this video of him trying to crawl. He was up on his knees a little more before I grabbed the camera and almost trying to rock a tiny tiny bit. Eeek! We definitely got that baby gate up just in time! Where did my little bitty baby go?

{Please excuse the pile of laundry on the couch behind Micah as I was folding laundry before grabbing my camera to film this - hence why Abby mentions in the video that Micah is going backwards through the kitchen to do laundry}

Of course it only last a few seconds but he's getting there!

Raspberries

Micah started blowing some raspberries this evening. So cute! Unfortunately the videos I took of him doing have the sound all fuzzy :(

So instead you'll have to deal with some cute pictures of him with his teddy bear. Abby thought he would like his teddy. He was content with his feet though and showed very little interest in the teddy.

I think the camera must add 10 lbs though because I swear he doesn't look that chunky to me as he looks in those pictures!

Rolling over

After weeks of making it onto his side with regularity (both ways from his tummy and his back) he has made it all the way from his tummy to his back today!

Uh oh! My itty bitty is getting to big! Better get to baby proofing as he'll be moving all over soon! He can already wiggle himself all over and off his play mat.

I got a real smile this morning!

Cord stump

Micah lost his cord stump yesterday while Daddy was changing his diaper.

Now we can use all our fluffy diapers without worrying about irritating the cord stump or getting it wet! 

We'll be able to have a "real" bath now too instead of a sponge bath on the counter. Though like Abby we'll probably continue with mostly sponge baths for a little while before doing a "real" bath every day.
