All about the milestones my itty bitty hits and when he hits them. I can't seem to remember to write down things in a baby book so for the time being this is his online baby book for all to see. Cord stump

Micah lost his cord stump yesterday while Daddy was changing his diaper.

Now we can use all our fluffy diapers without worrying about irritating the cord stump or getting it wet!

We'll be able to have a "real" bath now too instead of a sponge bath on the counter. Though like Abby we'll probably continue with mostly sponge baths for a little while before doing a "real" bath every day.

Hanging out with big sister!

Fluffy day!

My favorite print of his NB fitted diapers - NB Little Boppers Diaper
GMD orange edge prefold
Wool cover - not sure I like this so much.... can't decide. It was a little hard to get on over the prefold.
PB&E itty bitty preflat
First day in cloth. Our covers don't fit without possibly irritating his cord stump so we have to change more frequently so that we or his blankets don't get wet. His AIO diapers are also too big still leaving big leg holes to leak out of and covering his cord stump. We'll work with what we have that fits for now during the day while we are at home until we get a tad bigger and fit into the rest of it. It's cute to have a fluffy bum around here! It's much fluffier than a paper diaper though!

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day ever for this little guy's first Mother's Day.

Micah got me a beautiful ring with his birth stone and Abby got me earrings with her birthstone. Daddy was so excited he couldn't wait so I got both of these presents a day early. Then Daddy got up early leaving me and Micah to snuggle and sleep a little more in bed while he got dressed and cooked us breakfast before we had to get up to go to Church. At Church they had photographers stationed around the building taking Mother's Day photographs and we got our first family photo of all four of us. After Church we headed back to the house where Daddy began fixing a big feast for us, Gigi, Uncle Jeremy, Grandma and Grandpa. We enjoyed the meal and sat around talking since we were too full to do anything else for a while. Then we headed to the pool around 5 for a swim. It was a great day! One of the best family days we've had in a while.

Micah and Daddy are both wearing outfit option number 2 for the day as Micah decided outfit options number 1 weren't that great - or maybe Daddy didn't get the diaper quite right and he leaked out all over his outfit, blanket and onto Daddy's shirt. This was after Daddy learned his lesson (again) about the difference between changing a boy's diaper and a girl's diaper.

First trip to the pool

Micah enjoyed his first trip to the pool on Mother's Day. He cuddled up next to mommy in the solarveil ring sling (that has sun protection built into the fabric) and slept away.

Gigi loves me!

Sweet sleepy baby

We love our Moses Basket! (Though it's only a close second to being cuddled in someone's arms!)

I love my cuddly little guy. He's quite content as long as he is being cuddled in your arms or wrapped up nicely in a blanket. He only gets upset when you unwrap him and lay him down to change his diaper. However he's laying down all swaddled he's content to look around - at least for a minute or so before he decides he wasn't done eating or drifts off to sleep.

I did get my first whimper and cry just a minute ago when I thought he was done nursing but he really wasn't. It was the sweetest little quiver of his lip then the saddest little cry. He of course got to finish his meal and didn't cry more than a second.
