Rough day

The poor boy has a little bit of a wobbly day on his feet today. Right when we got outside to take some pictures for in his new birthday shirt he tried to crawl too fast and face planted on the deck a little bit. That would be the redness on his cheek. Then after eating dinner he was walking around the coffee table and bumped his eye. That would be the slight bruise next to his eye. Then while we were outside again taking advantage of the nice light outside he crawled into his sister with his forehead. That would be the red mark on his head. He didn't really seem to notice the first or last incident too much and very few tears were shed over any of them. It still looks bad though doesn't it? 

Here are a couple outtakes from my attempt at taking his picture in his birthday shirt. It didn't go too terribly well. It's pretty hard to place the baby, back away, focus and take pictures when he's so mobile and just wants to go play!

Vertical Baby

Micah wants so badly to be vertical just like everyone else in the family. In the gym childcare he isn't even happy on the baby side anymore. He is only really happy when they take him over the the bigger kid side (with the 1s and 2s) but of course they only do this when it's quiet and don't have many bigger kids that would run him over. 


Today he took a record number of steps of 12 this evening. He previous record was 6 yesterday. Where is my baby and when did he get replaced with this little man that wants desperately to be a toddler?

Micah in Paris

Gigi, Micah says he's sorry missed you. He came to visit while you were in Prague. 

Micah decided to take a visit to Paris last night while Daddy and Abby were making their brownies.

raspberries

Yesterday Micah rediscovered raspberries. It hadn't dawned on me until he started doing them all day long that he had stopped doing them the past month or two. However now it's his favorite thing to do. All day long...pbbbtttt...

Daddy took Abby out this afternoon so Micah and I stayed home and were relaxing on the couch because he was a little cranky. I remembered how I used to play kneebouncers with Abby and I had yet to show it to Micah so he got to play kneebouncers this afternoon.
